Thanks to the many supportive readers from around the world (at least a half-dozen of you already, in less than twelve hours) who've sent in prospective logos. A couple of observations:

* Some of the proposed logos separate our site name into two capitalized words: "Over" + "Lawyered", typically on separate lines. Although these include some of the best-looking entries, we've pretty consistently avoided the "OverLawyered" way of rendering our name in favor of writing it solid with no interior capitals. That's tougher for logo-making, of course.

* Extra points for allusions to our pink and gray color scheme, though it isn't really necessary. But no animations, please.

* As to gavels, scales, etc., we need to be very sure of their public domain status, lest we turn into one of our own news items.

Can it be animated? That would be one way to scroll or flash sequential text. The proverbial "good start" of 1000 dead lawyers on the bottom of the ocean is doubtless too complex for a small logo.
