This makes me a “jerk.” I’m not sure why: I certainly never took a position on the question whether the entire point of September 11 was to give the plaintiffs’ bar something to celebrate and congratulate themselves over. I suppose it’s conceivable that one could infer from the accurate recounting of the quote that such behavior suggested insensitive solipsism, but I certainly never said that…
