So, what exactly happened here? First they sued the victims. Then, when this was pointed out to them, they dismissed the case rather than dismissing only the complaints against those victims? And they dismissed the case with prejudice?

(I’m assuming from the comment that this means they can’t collect from the trucking company.)

What kind of incompetents work in that office? Or is this the result of some weird local procedural rules?

That’s some clerical error. Just think what they would do to you if they really wanted to get your goat.

I am confused as to why removing these poor folks from the complaint would prevent the NJTA from bringing claims against the truck driver as the article states.

Jeez, Louise, let’s hope it was just a “clerical error.” Just sue the trucking company for crying out loud!
