As one comment notes, "I’m pretty sure the statute of limitations for malpractice suits on damage to children is a solid 18 years. Given that, is it a surprise that doctors are nervous about prescribing ANYTHING to a woman of child-bearing age? I say this both as a physician and a woman of child-bearing age who is well protected against pregnancy."
