I didn’t vote for Obama either, but I hope he does a good job. In fact, right now, I’m hoping that this is an environment in which a good job can be done. And, in the meantime, I am going to wait six months before starting to form an opinion.

I stopped reading the Wall Street Journal when I read an editorial there which stated that Clinton’s administration had been a failure. As this editorial ran the week before his first inauguration I thought it said more about the WSJ than Clinton.

Neither the blog post or the article was directed at Obama. There’s some “knee jerk” going on, but it seems to be contained by and limited to your post and the one above it. One commenter made that error, apparently, but that’s all… but that said, I would be huge dollars that this administration won’t, in fact, be different than any other in just about any respect.

Do you wait for the hammer to hit before your knee jerks? If you’d b othered to lead past the headline and your own assumptions, you might have made it all the way to the end of the first sentence, which reads:

In just about his last act as president, George W. Bush has declared Washington, D.C., a federal disaster area.

I know a lot of you are convinced that Obama is going to force you to hug a poor person, but you might at least wait until the executive order is signed before you start complaining.

In my opinion, an additional $15M over and above, and in emergency funding, in a recession, smacks of telling the people what we can expect from this administration and our congresscritters.

in the governments defense(one of the few times you will catch me using this phrase) there are alot of insane people who can manage to get guns and trips to d.c. so it can be a bit of an emergency
