					<description><![CDATA[Yes they did Ed. They voted to protect our children from the hazard of lead. The problem is that lead and humans have interacted for thousands of years. The supposed risks from lead are not supported by history or science. The instant hysteria came from the  plaintiff bar&#039;s attempt to extort money from paint manufacturers and from activists who gain prestige as  protectors of the health of children. 

President Bush was rightly criticized for overriding science and common sense with gut feelings and religious ardor. But the Clintons were, and are, just as bad. The EPA has been corrupt from it&#039;s beginning. Sometimes, like now, I am ashamed to be a Democrat.  

The fault though is with the American people. They are so pitifully stupid!]]></description>
