					<description><![CDATA[I don&#039;t get the whole historic preservation of things that aren&#039;t even 150 years old.  Take a look at most of the buildings of antiquity that were built in existing cities, you will see that they were built from the stones of older buildings.

People have this notion that the world is static and that we somehow need to keep it that way.  I believe that same attitude permiates a lot of the climate discussion, people just aren&#039;t capable of imagining that the world was ever different despite all of the contrary evidence.]]></description>
