Is it possible to condemn the selection of Sarah Palin as the Republican vice presidential candidate a mere four years after casting a vote for a ticket that included John Edwards, a one-term back-bench lightweight chosen for the same job due to little more than his boyish good looks?

Why yes, yes it is.

I don’t like his association with the Plaintiff Lawyers. That makes him a cad not a joke. Other than that, and that is a major other, the man works hard, has a good heart, and seems OK to me.

The fact that you don’t like Biden still doesn’t change the fact that the nomination of Palin was hilarious.

Well, to be fair, Biden probably would be better than Obama on account of that he is less of a greenhorn. Comparing Palin’s record to Obama’s made obama’s shortcomings uniquely apparent. But bluntly, I don’t like any mere legislator being president. I like people with administrative experience. Which makes mccain barely better than obama because he did lead jets in Vietnam, but really I like a person to be governor for a couple of years before becoming president. And yeah, that meant Palin wasn’t ready, either. Of all the people who ran in the primaries, my preference was for Guiliani. Sure, he was not a governor but a mayor, but given that NYC is more populous than many states, I was willing to give him a walk. And more importantly, I felt that Rudy could be depended to kill lots of terrorists, which is one of the biggest things I look for. Further, what could have sent a clearer message that America was not backing down in the war on terror?
