(His barrister caught Evony’s star witness Benjamin Gifford lying about having a bachelor’s degree and an MBA among other things.) Then he’d have a strong argument for dismissal should they choose to sue him in the United Kingdom, which has ridiculous libel laws itself.

But the plaintiffs do owe Everiss $80.000 Australian as a result of their misadventure. A strong argument for “loser pays”, and a rebuke to the game-industry media who libeled Everiss (under Australian or British law) by reprinting Evony’s defamatory press release.

Everiss, having been put through the wringer, seems to be too much of a gentleman to sue.
