gitarcarver

I guess you are right. What is left for a parent do? I need to read the Code of Federal Regulations for raising children. Anyone know what section that is?

Speaking from my area, I also get irritated at these suits. For instance, my son's school got a "rock" climbing wall, approximately four feet tall just installed a few weeks before school closed. It wasn't even three days old when a kid fell and broke their arm. The school then shut the wall down.

What makes me increasingly angry and sad is the fact that, more than likely, the school will take it down permanently or instead of taking it down will declare it "off limits" and it will sit there, unused.

Damn far cry from when I was growing up. Damn shame.

If only the kid had been home playing video games she would have been safe.

Apparently you have missed the lawsuits over the Wii controllers, games that are too violent, and the government's desire to take over parenting in general.

If only the kid had been home playing video games she would have been safe. Why do parents risk injury to their children by allowing them to play outdoors.

The child could have fallen out of bed and broken her arm depending on how she landed. Why is it that people think the world should be absolutely safe with no risk whatsoever?

Oh yea, government and lawsuits.
