A little word to the wise with the food controversy beginning, your diet really has little to do with development of disease states. Namely I am referring to cholesterol. A recent meta-analysis in the Journal of Diet and Nutrition looked at 25 major studies that incorporated 250,000 people and found that low cholesterol diets did nothing to prevent cardiac disease. In fact, diets higher in fats likely are healthier than we thought.

The same can be said for salt. Unless you have a problem with high blood pressure, salt does nothing to your system.

But the food police will still try and push their views on us.
