A helmet is unlikely to make a difference when the vehicle is going 83mph. Of course, that misses the broader issue–that Weaving needs to man up and own up for the pain he continues to cause.

I hope that if Weaving goes before a parole board his actions here–his lack of remorse and accountability–are factors in him completing his entire sentence.

I truly wish the victim’s family the best.

Bad test case, but had he a clean record I’d be interested in following it. If the kid had been younger, it might complicate things a little more, too.

Sounds like the two cases should move forward together with the same jury hearing the suit and counter-suit. If he wants to be an inflammatory ass then at least let it help the family’s case.
