Hey. lots of people have spilled liquids on their keyboard and ruined it. Obviously we have grounds for a class action suit here! We can arrange a settlement where all class members get a coupon for an up-rated keyboard (with water proof membrane) the next time they buy a computer. Oh, that lets Walter off the hooks unless this blog is a lot more popular then we think it is. 🙂

These schools actually exist (test-prep schools for 4-year-olds), so the woman likely was promised, and relied reasonably on the promise, that her kid would have been enrolled in such a program. If she was not, she has a valid breach of contract suit.

Which doesn’t change the fact that she and the operators of the school she wanted are both barking insane.

The preschool should ask the judge to hold the case until the colleges send out their acceptance or rejection letters.

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn’t know it was so easy to get rich. Does anyone know a good trial lawyer without any scruples (or is that being redundant?) to take my case? The disheartening thing is that such a lawsuit would be less ridiculous that the actual lawsuit instituted by this woman.

Imprescia’s court papers suggest the school may have damaged Lucia’s chances of getting into a top college, citing an article that identifies preschools as the first step to “the Ivy League.”

However, I think her lawyer just blew her case.

“Lucia Imprescia, for the record, will get into an Ivy League school, York Avenue Preschool notwithstanding,” said Paulose, of Koehler & Isaacs.
“The child is very smart and will do well in life.”

He should have said that the poor child would end of homeless and on drugs because she was rejected by an Ivy league school. I guess she will have to now sue her lawyer for incompetence.

If she paid 19K for her 4-year-old for pre-school, and the kid was placed with 2-year-olds, then it sounds like she has a fine breach of contract suit.

Whether the kid ends out screwed up or not due to an overbearing mom is a different issue. Kids have survived a lot worse.

Don’t forget to include J. J. Thomson in the target list. If he hadn’t discovered the electron, that keyboard never would have existed upon which to spew/spill coffee. Effecting service may be a little difficult, though.
