You usually don’t need a lawyer to negotiate the municipal speeding ticket. But, for instance, a local municipal will ding you for a ticket of $88 and 4 points (hey, I really was guilty of the infraction). But, if you talk to their attorney, he will amend the ticket to a non moving violation, but it will cost you $120 bucks. And if you look at the regional district court website, they tell you what amount of every ticket is used to support the court.
