@KDP: Nelson was centuries ago. Still, in the time of the Grandparents of the current generation, the UK stood alone against the Axis powers for over a year and a half. Any bets on whether that would happen today?

It is hard to believe that England once ran a global spanning empire. Check out the comments at the end of the Independent article. Someone has a good send up of Nelson and how he would never have won the battle at Trafalgar.

Yes, I did. And if the government says there are no such regulations and yet things are being done in these non-regulations’ names, then surely they can produce other laws that specify forbid this sort of behavior. Unles,s of course, they don’t have any more idea of how to draft a competent law than our congress does.

According to it, people are just making excuses on H&S. They want to ban something for whatever reasom, so they say it is H&S.
