Magnetic spheres were always harder to acquire than ammunition in the US (and so are most other things). I will admit that ammunition has recently become more expensive, but it is still readily available on the Internet, in popular calibers, inWalmart and many other stores. Now if there is an oddball caliber such as 300 Weatherby magnum, it may be temporarily out of stock in some places.
