The numbers don’t add up. The settlement is $4.2 million. 800k goes to the lawyers, 18k to the class representatives. That leaves just under $3.4 million for the remaining members of the class and for the cost of mailing out the postcards. For only $6 to be available to the residual class members, mailing the post cards would have to cost almost $3.4 million. Does it really cost just under $42 per citation to mail out postcards?
