The farmer probably figured that if it wasn’t ATVs, it would be something else. The old-fashioned spirits of gratitude and self-reliance were no longer there to protect him.

Wouldn’t it just be easier to ban ATVs on the property? From what I’ve seen, some of those participants and spectators could use a little exercise.
