So, are you saying that were Subway to use a 3oz glob of dough that did not expand all the way to 1ft every time but was the same amount of dough each time, put all the same amount of meat, cheese, etc. on each time, and sold them all at the same price each time, you'd be injured in some way?

I agree there are more important things but this doesn't even seem to be a thing, just a money grab.

“Food” (if what Subway sells could be classified as such) is usually subject to laws regarding using accurate weights and measures when it is sold. So this isn’t completely silly.

Well, yeah, they shouldn't be able to get away with shorting people. But I would say that a regulatory fine would be the way to handle this sort of thing. What's the point of a class action where the members get nothing? If you're going to do that, it may as well just be a normal lawsuit.

I'm sorry for those in the wider class action, but I'm failing to see where injury or harm occurred because their foot-long BMT on Italian measured only 11.75 inches. Seriously people, there are far bigger problems to worry about than morsel of so-so bread in your mouth.

"Food" (if what Subway sells could be classified as such) is usually subject to laws regarding using accurate weights and measures when it is sold. So this isn't completely silly.

But rather than try to fix the length of their sandwiches, they'd probably be better off just defining, by weight, how much "meat" their "foot long" sandwiches contain and make that the basis of their sizing. (For example "our foot long gray lunchmeat sandwich will contain at least 6 ounces of gray lunchmeat.")

Anyway, they've got bigger problems! Like finding another spokesedophile (who, from the looks of him during his perpwalk, is quite fat.)
