					<description><![CDATA[Speaking on the subject of proximate cause, I doubt that California&#039;s application of their version of the parol evidence rule is a causative factor &quot;allowing the mass exodus of business from California,&quot; because of its minimal economic impact on most businesses. Rather California&#039;s bludgeoning tax structure, severe regulatory environment, and other MAJOR economic burdens ARE the proximate causes for the exodus. 

That said, the California Supreme Court should clean up the application of the parole evidence rule to foster certainty, rather than ambiguity in contractual relations.]]></description>
