If those things are true, it sounds like they weren’t included in the moving papers. Maybe the AUSA was a little cocky, and didn’t think he needed them.

I’d guess he booked the trip a year in advance and the trial dates were set only recently. There is no way he’d be able to get someplace to stay on short notice under the path of totality. Most hotels were booked solid a long time ago.
