Only the next-of-kin should be allowed to invoke a red flag law on suicide worries. If someone else thinks there is a suicide risk, they should be required to bring along the next-of-kin before approaching a judge.

I am skeptical of some suicide prevention in an age when we have declared a new War on Pain Treatment.
