  • He does own the copyright to his written material. Do the forfeiture laws that transfer cash and material property to the government transfer intellectual property? Or has the the government ownership of the paper and ink but not the information content therein?

    The writings were seized as evidence by the police and became the property of the US government (through the DOJ).
    Other writings were sent as open letters to the press with the express purpose of being printed and distributed.
